Men charged with theft and burglary offences following raids in Bromley

Five men who were arrested on Tuesday, May 22 as part of a dawn raid carried out by officers in Bromley have been charged with burglary and theft offences.

All five were charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to commit theft after appearing in custody at South London Magistrates Court on May 23.

David Cakebread, 36, of Woodside Road in Bexley; Jesse Eastwood, 26, of Mosul Way in Bromley; Freddie Mockler, 19, of Southfleet Road in Orpington; David Smith, 19, of Augustine Road in Orpington and a 17-year-old male from Orpington were released on conditional bail to appear at Croydon Crown Court on June 20.

All the men were arrested at locations in Bromley and across the south east.

On May 23 police from Bromley Crime Squad attended an address in Brands Hatch, Kent and arrested Jack Andrews who was wanted by police.

On May 24 Jack Andrews, 28, of Alder Road in Sidcup was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to commit theft.

He appeared in custody at South London Magistrates Court on May 24 and was remanded in custody to appear at Croydon Crown Court on June 20.

On May 24, Perry Rye, who was also wanted, was arrested in connection with the same investigation.

The 20-year-old, of Okemore Gardens, Orpington, was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to commit theft.

He appeared in custody at South London Magistrates Court on May 25 and was released on conditional bail to appear at Croydon Crown Court on June 20.
