A man who raped a physically disabled Bromley woman three times during a continuous assault.

Gentjan Faqoli, 28, of no fixed address, was invited to the womans home on March 18.

The victim, who also suffers from mental health issues, had consenual sex with Faqoli, but afterwards was raped three times by the 28-year-old.

She called the police after Faqoli left and required medical treatment for injuries consistent with rape.

Faqoli was arrested and subsequently charged on May 13.

He was found guilty of rape at Croydon Crown Court and was sentenced to seven years in prison on October 23.

Albanian-born Faqoli was found to be in the country illegally and will be deported after completing his sentence.

Investigating officer detective constable Paul Barham of the Met’s Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command said: “I commend the victim for her courage and commitment in this case. This was a horrific ordeal during which Faqolli ignored her pleas whilst carrying out his attack.

“I hope that the outcome of this case empowers other victims of sexual offences to come forward and speak to police.

“Faqolli committed this crime against a vulnerable and defenceless victim and will quite rightly spend a long time in prison.”
