A CRASH left a Hungarian man with serious head and arm injuries when a car smashed in to him last Wednesday

The incident happened last Wednesday at around 5.50pm on Penge Road, at the junction with Croydon Road.

The 36-year-old stricken man was trapped under the car, a grey BMW, but remained talking and conscious before being freed. He was taken by ambulance to Kings College Hospital who later confirmed he would be okay.

Police said there was 'traffic chaos' as Penge Road was closed until 9pm.
