Man to appear at Croydon Crown Court over shooting at child’s birthday party

A man charged with a shooting at a children’s birthday party will appear at Croydon Court Court on Thursday.

Alfie Gannon, 21, of no fixed abode, previously appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court on November 21 charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm.

On May 18, a man is reported to have attended a child’s birthday part in Ravenscar Road, Bromley. At around 4pm he became involved in an argument with a family member, and left the property - returning at around 9.30pm.

Following a further argument, a 22-year-old man was shot in the leg whilst with his seven-year-old stepson.

Gannon was arrested on November 19, in Kent, following an extensive manhunt.
