A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been discharged from hospital after he was shot in the face, head and chest inside a kebab shop.

The victim was standing at the counter in the Delight Kebab Shop on Woodside Green, Addiscombe, at around 11.30pm on July 8 when he was fired at by a masked man.

The suspect then fled in a green Mazda MX5, registration N131 UVM, stolen from the Penge area sometime between July 4 and July 8.

As the car sped off towards Anthony Road junction with Woodside Green, it crashed in to a white Ford Transit van. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Birchanger Road and is undergoing forensic tests.

The victim was taken to a south London hospital to receive treatment but was released just over a week later.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting, including the driver of the white van.

Anyone with information should contact Trident South Shootings Team on 020 8785 8580 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
