A BLACK man was shot in the face during a vicious attack whilst out shopping.

The 36-year-old was standing in a queue in the Simply Food and Wine store, in Anerley Road, Crystal Palace, at around 5.30pm on October 5 when a man stood nearby him began shouting racist remarks.

The victim hurried back to his car when his attacker suddenly appeared, opened the car door and began firing the air pistol in his face.

The suspect is white, in his mid to late 30s and around 6ft, with short ginger hair. He was wearing a grey camouflage jacket and grey combat trousers. When he appeared at the victim's car, he had a small, white and tan dog with him which was possibly a bull terrier.
