Man remanded in custody

A MAN who allegedly attacked a restaurant worker is due to stand trial charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. Unemployed Russell Parkin, 37, of Madan Road, Westerham, appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court on July 7, where  he was sent for trial

A MAN who allegedly attacked a restaurant worker is due to stand trial charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

Unemployed Russell Parkin, 37, of Madan Road, Westerham, appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court on July 7, where he was sent for trial at Croydon Crown Court, at a date to be arranged. He was remanded in custody until he appears.

Parkin was arrested after a 31-year-old man from La Rioja Spanish restaurant in West Wickham High Street was assaulted at 5.15pm on July 4. He was taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital and discharged the following day.
