A man has been jailed for 14 years after sexually, physically and mentally abusing a Beckenham woman.
Ricardo Dunn, 27, of no fixed address, was found guilty of three counts of rape, actual bodily harm and common assault at Woolwich Crown Court last month and sentenced on Friday.
The court heard that Dunn, who will be deported at the end of his jail term, absued and raped his 27-year-old victim at an address in Beckenham on three separate occasions.
She kept her ordeal a secret until April, when she finally told her sister and alerted the police. Dunn was later arrested on April 11.
Det Con Janine Andrews, from the Met’s sexual offences, exploitation and child abuse commmand, said: “A vulnerable woman exploited physically and sexually had the courage to report it to police.
“She has been incredibly strong throughout the investigation and should be commended for her positive action in making a stand.
“I hope this result encourages victims in the same situation to come forward.”
