Man jailed after racially abusing and spitting at police officer

A man has been jailed after a racially aggravated assault on a police officer.

Daniel Francis, 28, of Westhurst Drive, Chislehurst, plead guilty to racially aggravated common assault and three counts of criminal damage to motor vehicles at Bromley Magistrates Court on October 28.

He has been jailed for 16 weeks.

Francis was required to pay £50 compensation to the police officer and £361 to the owners of the motor vehicles.

Police were called to reports of a man damaging vehicles in Ravens Dene, Chislehurst on October 11 at 5am.

Francis was stopped in nearby Waratah Drive.

After being detained and handcuffed, he racially abused and spat at one of the officers.
