He will be sentenced in January

A man has been found guilty of killing his dog, after police discovered its body tied to railings outside a flat.

Officers found the dog with a rope tied around its neck on October 6.

Its owner, Everald James, 48, Beaconsfield Road, Mottingham, was found guilty at Bexleyheath Magistrates Court on December 17 of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.

He has been bailed to return to court for sentencing January 14.
