A MAN accused of raping an animal-lover who wanted to pet his friend's puppy has been cleared of the charges.

Luis Hernandez, 25, was alleged to have raped the 20-year-old after promising she could see the dog when she went back to his flat.

The woman, from Bromley, had been drinking after an evening out with friends at The Raven pub, in Kensal Rise on January 26 last year.

She told Southwark Crown Court Hernandez invited her back to his to 'smoke a joint' before he forced her to have sex with him.

Hernandez, of Westmacott House, Hatton Street, Edgware Road, was cleared on Friday after he told the court the woman consented 'enthusiastically'.
