A 41-year-man has been charged with the murder of a woman found battered to death in her flat.

Police believe Siobhan Kelly may have been dead for three weeks when she was discovered on February 7.

Detectives charged unemployed Stephen Foad of Foxhill Lane, Upper Norwood with her killing today. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Greenwich Magistrates Court this Monday.

Officers broke into 39-year-old Ms Kelly’s home, in Tudor Road, Crystal Palace after her family was unable to make contact with her.

A post mortem revealed she suffered internal bleeding.
