The boyfriend of Paula Newman has been charged with her murder following her death in November.
Kane Boyce, 33, was charged yesterday with the murder of the 20-year-old, from Beckenham, last year.
He was remanded in custody after appearing at Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court, and will now appear at Croydon Crown Court on Monday.
Boyce was arrested by police and questioned for three days after Miss Newman’s death, but was bailed pending further investigations.
Miss Newman suffered a cardiac arrest at an address in Dunsfold Way, in New Addington, on November 12 and died shortly after at Mayday Hospital, in Croydon.
A post-mortem examination revealed the cause of death to be the result of a head injury.
