A man has been arrested after an Aston Martin driver was car-jacked and kidnapped in Petts Wood last month.

David Moody, 40, of Godstow Road, Greenwich, was charged with kidnap and robbery on Wednesday. He appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court the same day and was remanded in custody to appear at Croydon Crown Court on December 4.

He was arrested in Greenwich at 10am on Tuesday, following an investigation by Bromley CID.

Police were called to reports of a car-jacking in Station Square, Petts Wood, at around 8pm on October 30. A witness saw two men allegedly force another man into his black Aston Martin Vanquish and drive off.

Unable to find the car, police managed to contact the car owner on his mobile just after 9pm. He confirmed two men had forced him into his car and driven around, before he managed to escape in Thamesmead.

The victim, a 22-year-old male, was unharmed in the incident. His vehicle has still not been recovered.

Anyone with information should contact Det Con Paul Craig at Bromley Police on 020 8284 8740, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
