A man was arrested for allegedly flashing children during a fireworks display at Crystal Palace Park last night.

Police were called to the scene at around 8.30pm where a 42-year-old man had been detained by security staff at the bonfire night display after reportedly exposing himself.

Sgt Gareth Starr, of Bromley Police, tweeted about the incident shortly after it happened from his @MPSBeckenhamSgt account.

He said: “Male detained at #CrystalPalace fireworks display for flashing at children. Police all over it. Unbelievable.”

The man, from Croydon, remains in custody at a south London police station after being arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure.
