RESIDENTS should check if they are eligible to vote in the fast-approaching local and general elections. Bromley Council has begun an awareness campaign ahead of the local elections on May 6 and a general election which must take place by June 3.

Electors in the borough can apply for a postal vote if they will be away for the vote, or ask to vote by proxy, when someone else can vote for them.
