Youngsters at Lotties pre-school in Bromley helped to raise hundreds of pounds for Save the Children on Thursday.

The children took part in the charit’s ‘Den Day’ initiative, where children can build dens and help raise money for charity which supports children from all over the world.

Working together Lotties managed to raise a total of £359.50, smashing their initial £100 target.

Parents Faye and Shaz Mirza praised the charity event.

They said: “It was a great idea by Lotties to support Den Day and help children to appreciate that there are many others less fortunate than themselves who lack the essentials which we all take for granted.

“We are particularly proud of our daughter Ayla for taking part and managing to raise more than £300.”
