A PARTIALLY sighted woman has received a prestigious award at the House of Lords. Bromley Adult Education College student Linda Watts, 48, from Beckenham

A PARTIALLY sighted woman has received a prestigious award at the House of Lords.

Bromley Adult Education College student Linda Watts, 48, from Beckenham, was commended for her learning achievement at a ceremony hosted by Lord Tope.

Ms Watts attends the college's computer classes for the partially sighted and uses specialist software for her condition.

Before enrolling on the course she had little computer experience but has since installed new programs on her home computer for email, internet and research.

She has also gained a qualification to show prospective employers.
