Results on the new mayor of London are due today

All of Bexley and Bromley’s near-190,000 votes in yesterday’s London election have been counted.

The boroughs are set to have a new London Assembly member representing the people at the GLA, while the public have also joined in voting for the new London mayor.

The new London Assembly member for the borough is Conservative candidate Gareth Bacon.

The full breakdown of votes is as follows.

Gareth Bacon, Conservative - 87,460

Frank Gould, Ukip - 30,485

Julie Ireland, Liberal Democrats - 12,145

Veronica Obadara, All People’s Party - 1243

Roisin Robertson, Green Party, - 12,685

Sam Russell, Labour - 45,791

After all of the constituencies votes were counted, Labour’s Sadiq Khan leads the pack as the count begins on voter’s secondary preferences.
