A range of free attractions are available from between 4pm and 8pm on November 19

Orpington will be the first Bromley town to kick off the seasonal festivities when it holds its Christmas Extravaganza next week.

This year’s event takes place between 4pm and 8pm on Thursday November 19 and promises to be the biggest and best yet.

An extended road closure has been organised to make space for the many free attractions taking place in the town centre.

These include face painting, lantern making, live reindeer and snowy owls, pony cart rides, balloon models, a stage featuring live music, Santa in his grotto, who will also be heading a lantern parade and a firework display to finish the evening off.
