BEREAVED people and anyone single aged over 40 are invited to attend life skills courses.
Charity Double-0-five are holding ten week course for residents in West Wickham, Hayes and Bromley which will cover cooking, car maintenance, law, gardening, DIY, yoga and healthy living.
Course co-ordinator, Anne Frewer, said: "When you lose a partner you can find that you lose half your information as well.
"Often in marriages, you will have one person who does all the cooking while the other does the decorating for example. So when that person is gone, you can be at a loose end.
"We also hold social evenings where people can make lots of new friends. We've even had a few marriages. People have called us a lifeline because of the service we offer."
The course, to be held at the Methodist Church, Eldon Avenue, Shirely, costs £20 for ten weeks and booking is essential.
