The winner of the competition stands to net £1,000

Former Gravesend and Northfleet star Jimmy Bullard has kicked off a bid to find Orpington’s best football celebration - with the winner set to net £1,000.

The Buff, on Pinewood Drive, is looking for locals whose viewing jubilations easily rival those of the footballers on the pitch.

Jimmy is something of an expert on the subject, as his 2008 goal celebration mocking Hull City manager Phil Brown is consistently ranked amongst the top ten of all time.

The football star said: “It’s hard to beat the excitement you feel when your team scores. In the case of the professionals their celebrations are often remembered more than the goals.

“Outside the stadium there’s no better place to watch a game than down the pub, so we’re now turning the tables in a search to find the best Orpington football fan celebration. Whether you pull your shirt over your head like Ravenelli, do the Peter Crouch robot, or something completely different, we want to see it.”

The ‘CeleBEERtion’ competition is being launched through Buff’s ‘Season Ticket’ discount card, which offers guests 10 per cent off selected drinks during live football.

To enter, football fans need to upload their pub goal celebrations to the Season Ticket Facebook page at www.facebook.com/GKSeasonTicket before Sunday, October 2.
