30-year-old jailed for a week

A young man has been jailed for a week after stealing a coat from a shop.

John Devall, 30, of Star Lane, Orpington, admitted shoplifting at Mid Kent Magistrates’ Court.

He took the coat, worth £110, from a shop in Week Street, Maidstone, on January 7. He was also ordered to pay £110, plus an £80 victim surcharge.
