A man has been jailed for 30 months after sexually touching a six-year-old girl at her Bromley home.

Italian Nichola Mezzadra, 28, of Forest Road, Walthamstow had been found guilty at Woolwich Crown Court in January and was sentenced on Friday.

In August last year, the victim’s family held a party at their home in Bromley, where some men they didn’t know were invited to attend by a close friend.

Police were called to the address after reports that the girl had been sexually touched. The victim told police she had been sleeping in her mother’s bedroom when Mezzadra came in and touched her.

The assault only ended when her father entered the room.

Det Ch Insp Pete Thomas, from Sapphire, said: “The victim has shown immense courage throughout this trial, which was no doubt very harrowing and distressing for both her and her family.

“I would like to commend the young victim in this case and her parents, without whom the conviction could not have been achieved.”
