New account makes it easier to deal with the council online

A MAN from Orpington has won an iPad in a prize draw run by Bromley Council.

More than 7,000 people entered the draw, which marked the launch of the council’s MyBromley account.

People in the borough can use the account to manage their council tax, request services, report problems and receive information. Anyone who signed up for the account could enter the draw.

Winner Adam Cossar was presented with his prize last Friday by Graham Arthur, the council’s executive member for resources.

He said: “I’m delighted that so many people have already signed up to the account.

“Not only does it save time for people as they do business with the council more quickly and efficiently, but it also saves taxpayers’ money - getting in touch online is more cost-effective than using the telephone.”
