TRAINING specialists were in the pink for charity last Friday to lend their support to a breast cancer charity.

JTL in Orpington joined the Breast Cancer Campaign's Wear It Pink day which dared everyone to wear an item of pink and donate £2 to the charity.

Employee Di Bannister introduced the event last year after she was diagnosed with breast cancer but was successfully treated over a period of 10 months. She said: "This is the second year we have done this event and raised over £100. It's vital to raise awareness and funds for treatment of breast cancer as many lives have been saved as a result of this organisations' research."

The charity uses all the donations to fund research throughout the UK to understand how breast cancer develops, leading to improved diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure.

It supports 112 research projects, worth over £14.5million in 50 centres across the UK.
