Hunt for burglar who stole family heirlooms from 65-year-old

Items had huge sentimental value

Police are appealing for help catching a burglar who robbed a 65-year-old woman of items of huge sentimental value.

Several family heirlooms were stolen from the flat in Manor Road, Beckenham, on Tuesday, January 20 between 2.30pm and 6pm.

They included an oval wooden carriage clock and barometer; a pair of 18th-century male and female Dresden figurines; an Edwardian-style gold and emerald necklace; a round Edwardian gold brooch with a pearl in the middle and coloured stones; and numerous rings, including a silver band with a large pale blue stone, a gold band with a large purple stone, two gold wedding bands, a white gold ring with a pearl and two sapphires, and an eternity ring with a ruby diamond.
