Police raid Chelsfield farmhouse

A HUGE cannabis factory which would yield a potential annual income of £250,000 has been uncovered by Bromley officers.

Officers with a drugs warrant raided a farmhouse in Chelsfield on Thursday, January 29, as part of a operation to target drugs supply across the borough.

A cannabis factory containing 600 fully grown cannabis plants was discovered in one of the outbuildings of the secluded farmhouse.

No-one was present at the property at the time of the raid.

A 26-year-old woman who arrived at the property as officers were searching it was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis at an address in Orpington later the same day.

Both remain in custody at a south London police station.

Sergeant Paul Law said; “This is a great result following concerns raised by the community. We will continue to act on information given to us by local residents and tackle the causes of crime on our borough”.

Anyone with information about drugs and crime should call Bromley police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
