A FORMER chippy girl has reached the semi-finals of a TV talent contest to star in a West End musical.

Rachel Tucker, 26, from Penge, was picked for the semi-finals the BBC show I'd Do Anything last Saturday. The talent contest gives budding actresses the chance to star as Nancy in Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of Oliver! Originally from Belfast, Miss Tucker, who trained at the Royal Academy of Music, has managed to perfect the cockney accent and has been singing since she was a child.
