The closure begins on Thursday evening
A busy Bromley road is set to be closed between a supermarket and popular pub from this evening (Thursday).
Homesdale Road will be closed from 6.30pm as the council fixes a collapsed drain and Southern Gas Network carry out emergency gas repair work.
According to SGN, the closure between Tesco and The Lord Holmesdale Public House is expected to last up to a week.
During this time, all businesses will be open as normal.
A statement on the Bromley council website offered the following advice: “Motorists wanting access to the Tesco Store or the Reuse and Recycling Centre at Waldo Road will be able to do so from Bromley Common A21 only.
“The bus route 336 will be on diversion and is unlikely to serve Homesdale Road. Details of the bus diversion are yet to be finalised and should be updated on Transport for London’s (TFL) website when available.
“Homesdale Road is accessible for pedestrians.”
