A MOTHER-of-two who could not afford a holiday because of the credit crunch has won a £5,000 vacation.

Healthcare assistant Suzanne Baker, 32, of Yester Road, Chislehurst, was presented with a cheque at the Robert Dyas store in Orpington High Street last Friday.

She entered a competition at the home goods store and was thrilled when she found out she had won. She said: "It's great. We are really excited. My partner Nicholas didn't believe me when I told him. He thought it was all a hoax." Ms Baker, partner Nicholas Jackson and her two children, Alicia, 9, and Bella, 8, now hope to use the money on a Mediterranean cruise.
