Around half of Bromley’s schools are set to be affected by teachers striking on Thursday.

In a row over pensions, increased workloads and government plans to bring in performance-related pay, members of the National Union of Teachers (NUT) and the National Association of Schoolmasters’ Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT) will be absent from classes.

Nearly 85 per cent of all teachers are represented by the two unions, meaning some school’s in the borough will be closed or partially closed.

Among those fully closed will be Edgebury Primary School, in Belmont Lane, Chislehurst and Southborough Primary School, in Southborough Lane, Bromley.

For a full list of closures, check back tomorrow.
