RESIDENTS are being urged to look out for their elderly neighbours as part of a new campaign.

The Bromley Community Engagement Forum (BCEF) launched their 'Look out for a Lonely Neighbour' campaign last Saturday to raise awareness about isolated pensioners living alone.

The BCEF partnered with a promotions company to advertise the campaign throughout Orpington, Beckenham and Bromley High Street.

Executive chairman, Howard Clark said: "We hope the start of this campaign will remind people the importance of watching out for your neighbours who might live on their own.

"The concerning fact is that a number of Accident and Emergency admissions are older people who have fallen in their home and are not found for a number of hours or even days.
