A Chislehurst man has been victorious on his cycling challenge across America.

Mitch Keene, 53, a director of technology, competed in Race the World earlier this month, a two week cycling challenge from Los Angeles to Miami.

Team Garin, of which he was a crucial part, won the title after the race came to a close on Saturday.

Mr Keene said: “I am just so proud to be part of the winning team at the inaugural Race the World event.

“We had a fantastic group of riders and it was our great teamwork that got us across the line first.

“It has been such an epic adventure and certainly an experience I will always remember.”
