A HOSPITAL celebrated the 60th anniversary of the NHS by holding a summer fete with games, music and entertainment.

Staff from Bethlem Royal Hospital, the world's oldest psychiatric facility, took part in an It's A Knock Out competition with teams battling it out on foam based inflatables for a trophy.

Other events included face painting, bouncy castles and teacup rides.

The free event took place in the hospital grounds in Monks Orchard Road, Beckenham last Saturday.

Other attractions were complementary therapies including reiki, reflexology and Indian head massage. There was also a variety of stalls selling arts, crafts and food as well as information from local support organisations.
