Free sci-fi convention coming to Bromley

The convention on November 14 will also feature a big band concert, raising money for the Mayor of Bromley’s charity

In the coming weeks Bromley will host it’s very own science fiction convention.

On November 14 the Great Hall at the Civic Centre will play host to special guests including actors from Star Wars and Doctor Who and other sci-fi classics.

Cosplay fans of all ages are invited to join, with two competitions running for adults and under-14s challenging people to dress up as their favourite characters.

Replica props honouring works featured across the world of science fiction will appear, including a giant Thunderbird 3.

In the evening a charity sci-fi concert will raise money for UK Connect and the National Brain Appeal, tickets are currently on sale.

The band will perform in a concert comprising of film and television themes from the world sci-fi and fantasy.
