A paramedic and paediatric first aid trainer will be running the session
Free first aid training for parents will be on offer in The Glades shopping centre, Bromley, on Monday, June 19.
The session will give parents and care-givers the opportunity to learn what to do when a baby or child is choking and how to recognise the warning signs and symptoms of meningitis.
Hands-on training will be provided by Tracey, Carpenter, paediatric first aid trainer at Daisy First Aid, and paramedic with the South East Coast Ambulance service.
She said: “It can be alarming when someone is hurt or in need or urgent medical assistance and even more so when it’s a baby or child.
“How to help a choking child is the most common topic parents ask about so the practical skills I’ll be teaching will help attendees feel prepared and in control should a more serious situation arise.”
The event is free to attend and visitors can sign up via the website at www.theglades.co.uk/families.
