Step into Dance will run throughout November and December at London schools

Free dance classes are to be offered to pupils as part of a new initiative to improve fitness levels, build confidence and boost self-esteem.

Langley Park School for Boys in Beckenham is to team up with Hayes School on a street dance session led by the Royal Academy of Dance and the Jack Petchey Foundation, which will be held on December 14 at Langley Park.

The initiative, Step into Dance, is the largest of its kind in the UK and will run throughout November and December at London schools.

It is intended to provide focus, creative experience, live performance opportunities and a chance for young dancers to further learn and develop.
