It is unknown how the mammal was trapped

A fox that found it’s way into a bin was rescued on September 12 after being trapped.

The bin at Bromley Methodist Church had its lid closed, meaning the female fox was stuck inside.

RSPCA inspector Natasha Wallis said: “This fox had an incredibly close shave.

“We don’t know whether she accidentally fell into this big bin while looking for food and then someone shut the lid, either accidentally or deliberately”

“We were called and found the fox unhurt, but too terrified to move. I collected her and allowed her to scamper off into the bushes - back to the wild where she belongs.”

The RSPCA inspector said she was pleased to have a “lovely happy ending.”
