Former Orpington scout leader found guilty of historic child sex offences

The offences took place between 1970 and 1980

A former scout leader from Orpington has been found guilty of 11 counts of indecent assault on children under the age of 14.

Terry Figg, 68, of Cook Road, Stevenage, abused four boys whom he met through the Scouts between 1970 and 1980.

Figg was initially arrested on 19 March 2015.

He was found guilty on Wednesday, November 16, after a 12-day trial at Croydon Crown Court.

He has been remanded in custody to appear for sentencing at Croydon Crown Court on Friday, December 9.
