Five arrested over kidnapping of 16-year-old

Teenager was grabbed off the street

Police have arrested five people over the kidnapping of a teenage boy in Bromley.

Officers were called at around 11.30pm on Monday, May 11 after the 16-year-old was grabbed off the street and bundled into a car.

Police stopped the car in Lewisham and the boy was freed. A man aged 67 and three women aged 65, 21 and 16 were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and taken into custody at a south London police station.

A man aged 20 was subsequently also arrested. All five have been released on police bail until later this month.
