First Orpington Makers Market hailed a success
PUBLISHED: 15:13 09 July 2012
Over 20 stall-holders took part in the inaugural Orpington Makers Market in High Street on Saturday (7) where goods varied from ceramics to fanzines, jewellery, knitted dolls, art work and handmade soaps.
Organiser Jenny Reina said: “It went really well – we had a good turn out and the weather just about held. Orpington Beekeepers’ Association did a roaring trade with their demonstration hive and sold out of honey. We’re hoping the market will become a regular event.”
