Firefighters tackle Chislehurst house fire

Around 20 firefighters battled a blaze in Elmstead Avenue, Chislehurst this morning.

The whole roof of a house under construction caught alight, but the fire was put out at around 10am according reports from the London Fire Brigade Twitter account.

Severe damage was caused to the building, though no one was hurt. The cause of the fire is unknown.
