Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on Saturday

Met Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal traffic collision in Penge.

The accident resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.

Officers were called just after 1pm on Saturday, November 21, to reports of a crash between a van and a motorcycle in Croydon Road, at the junction with Thornsett Close.

The rider of the motorbike, a 56-year-old man was taken to hospital, but later died from his injuries.

The van stopped at the scene and there have been no arrests.

Witnesses are asked to contact police on 020 8285 1574.
