A HERITAGE house played host to Tudor-style falconry.

Owls, hawks and falcons were in flight around the gardens of Eltham Palace this month.

Visitors learnt about the importance Henry VIII's favourite sport, within Tudor society and the duties of the court falconer. Children took the bird trail around the grounds whilst discovering more about the different families of birds in the UK.
