PARISHIONERS held a special fundraising fair to gather money for children affected by the Zimbabwe crisis.

Members of St Mary's Church, College Road, Bromley, hosted the Sunday Funday on July 20 in the grounds of the church and raised £1280 for the Just Children Foundation who will send the money to the African country, currently facing chronic food shortages, massacres and an economic breakdown.

The afternoon, which had an animal theme, included face painting tigers, a coconut shy, china breaking, stalls selling plants, books and toys and a prize stall.

There was also a concert given by Tau Wey, a piano teacher from Sevenoaks School, who played music written for children.
