Two roads were closed on Saturday and remain closed
Thames Water will be working ‘extended hours’ seven days a week to reopen a Beckenham road.
Southend Road was closed on Saturday to carry out emergency repairs on a collapsed sewer.
Works are expected to last for up to two weeks.
The road will be closed between Brackley Road and Park Road with traffic diverted via Brackley Road, Copers Cope Road in both directions.
A council spokesperson said: “the narrowness of the road, combined with the location of the sewer means that Thames Water’s deep excavation work can only be completed with a road closure”.
Meanwhile Crockenhill Road in St Mary Cray is closed to enable drainage works.
The road will be closed until late on Sunday, October 30.
During the route, cars will be diverted via the following route: Crockenhill Road B258, Blacksmiths Lane B258, St Mary Cray High Street B258, Mill Brook Road B258, Station Road B258, Sevenoaks Way A224, Edgington Way A223, Sidcup By-Pass Road A20, London Road B2173, Goldsel Road B258, Green Court Road B258, Broadway B258, Cray Road B258, Crockenhill Road B258 in both directions.
