A MAN who kidnapped a 13-year-old girl is due to stand trial accused of sexually assaulting her.

A MAN who kidnapped a 13-year-old girl is due to stand trial accused of sexually assaulting her.

Stephen Mackay, 48, of Avondale, Ash Vale, Aldershot, is accused of attacking the teenager on July 14 near St Joseph's RC Primary School in Plaistow Lane, Bromley.

He appeared at Croydon Crown Court on Monday where he pleaded guilty to kidnapping and intent to commit a sexual offence, but pleaded not guilty to sexual assault.

The engineer was remanded in custody until his trial, which is due to take place at Croydon Crown Court on December 9.
