A young school rugby team have completed a remarkable unbeaten season that saw them top the league with maximum points.

The Eltham College Junior School U11 team played and won 13 matches, scoring a staggering 371 points and conceding just 36 in the process.

With an average of almost 30 points per game, their prowess on the pitch was clear in an early training session in the summer, according to school master Edmund Cavendish.

He said: “We are incredibly proud of what the boys and their coach Mr O’Dwyer have achieved this year.

“They have worked immensely hard in training and have given their all in every single match they have played.”

After a season of local fixtures, the boys recently finished with a mini tour of Bristol.
