Elderly man hospitalised after being hit by car in Chislehurst

An elderly man was hospitalised after being hit by a car in Chislehurst this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene, in Green Lane, at around 8.15am after receiving reports of an incident involving a pedestrian and a Citroen.

The man, thought to be in his 70s, was treated for head, leg and arm injuries before being taken to King’s College Hospital, in Denmark Hill, as a ‘priority’.

His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Green Road has since re-opened following police closures. No arrests have been made.
